want $50 AWS credit? Well, you just have to (really) attend the event... online June 17, 2020 What AWS is addressing is a feature of free virtual events : getting people to sign up is a start, but without incentives for actually attending and without penalties for not doing so, there will be a lot of no-shows . Another problem is that at the first sign of technical problems or simply faced with the reality of relentless vendor marketing, attendees may register in advance and not return.

Attendee Mark Wilson reported the AWS solution on Twitter : $25 in AWS credits if you complete an event feedback form, and another $25 if you're in the five "live day" sessions. Session participation will hopefully be simply a matter of keeping a browser window open rather than bringing the full weight of AWS AI technology to bear on identifying whether people are actually paying attention. Details of the offer can also be found in the event's FAQ .
